Description

Busy Orthopedic practice looking to hire a full time medical receptionist ASAP. Full time position Monday-Friday 8-5 2 days a week, 9-5 3 days a week. Orthopedic experience a must. Knowledge of icd-10 and EMR programs. Athena knowledge a plus

Responsibilities:

Greet and checkin patients in a friendly and professional manner
Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
Verify patient insurance information and collect copays
Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
Assist with billing and coding tasks
Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers
Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized
Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
Proficient in using phone systems and computer software
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment
Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus
