Your Responsibilities

As a Contract Manager at Ramapo College of New Jersey, you will be responsible for managing contracts for complex projects in the renewable energy sector. You will assist in contract negotiations between clients and contractors and implement contracts and contract changes for technical, scheduling, personnel, or financial reasons.

Provide contractual advice to project and procurement management in documenting and processing contractual issues, including relevant reporting to the responsible overall project management
Evaluate legal specifications of obligations of existing contractors
Create strategic defense concepts and effective tactics for defending claims
Prepare legal and court disputes, including accompanying dispute resolutions
Assess conceptual damage minimization
Document sustainable claim processes
Monitor own claims conceptually
Act as a cross-functional interface between technical, procurement, and legal departments

Your Profile

Successful completion of a law degree or equivalent qualification
Extensive knowledge of national and international contract law
Demonstrable experience in contract implementation for projects, preferably with a focus on plant construction
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
Strong assertiveness, strategic negotiation skills, and analytical thinking
Independent, structured, team-oriented, and flexible working style
