    GHPC is seeking a senior research associate (SRA) to join the already awesome team taking the GHPC to the next level of excellence and global achievements

    The center's scope of work includes behavioral health, child health & well-being, health & health care financing, health in all policies, health systems transformation, long-term services & support, population & global health, and rural health. The center conducts, analyzes, and disseminates qualitative and quantitative research to connect decision-makers with the objective research and guidance needed to make informed decisions about health policy and programs. The center is at work locally, nationally, and internationally with public and private partners to improve health and well-being.

    ABOUT THIS POSITION

    The SRA is a member of multiple research, evaluation, policy development, technical assistance, and programmatic teams. The SRA will provide leadership across behavioral health and health services related projects and will have a lead role in overseeing the daily operations and logistics of the team's behavioral portfolio. The SRA will also manage the daily operations of grants and contracts within the organization's matrix structure, actively support the success of staff and the team, develop new business, and develop/maintain relationships across a spectrum of partners.

    HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

    · Leads the development of creative solutions to complex health policy issues.

    · Manages projects and project teams by providing administrative leadership for existing contracts and grants.

    · Participates in developing and sustaining the portfolio including identifying funding opportunities, leading grant and proposal writing teams, and supporting grant and proposal writing and budget development.

    · Leads the implementation of projects of varying size and complexity, including planning, organizing, and managing resources (staffing, budgets, project deliverables, relationships) to achieve specific project goals and objectives.

    · Manages the development of products such as policy papers, literature reviews, research papers, posters, presentations, briefs, client reports, toolkits, and data visualization products.

    · Designs policy analysis, strategic and implementation plans, and research/evaluation projects for clients.

    · Guides program partners through all stages of strategic and/or evaluation planning and implementation.

    · Leads the design and implementation of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research.

    · Collects, links, and analyzes data from multiple sources (quantitative and qualitative).

    · Builds and navigates relationships with clients and external partners, including policymakers, state agencies, community groups, consumers, and academic partners.

    · Provides technical assistance to partners to support strategic planning, policy and program implementation, evaluation capacity-building, and using data to support decision-making.

    · Translates data and findings for diverse stakeholder groups.

    · Supervises or mentors' staff and student employees.

    · Leads meetings and represents the GHPC at national conferences and events.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES TO MAKE YOU SHINE

    · Adaptive leadership ability and collaborative leadership style with the ability to self-direct work, manage work in new research and policy areas, and make important decisions when needed.

    · Strong organizational, project management, and managerial skills, with the ability to manage time and pay attention to detail while also addressing the big picture across multiple projects.

    · Demonstrated critical and strategic thinking, able to effectively monitor, synthesize, translate, and summarize complex research, policy, legislative, and regulatory topics for use by internal and external stakeholders.

    · Demonstrated ability to develop proposals, budgets, and IRB protocols.

    · Exhibit excellent customer service.

    · Proficient qualitative and quantitative analytic skills.

    · Networking and group facilitation skills, including in a virtual context (e.g., via Zoom).



    Qualifications

    Minimum Hiring Qualifications:

    Ph.D. with two years of experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

    Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

    Extensive experience in behavioral health with a focus on substance use and an understanding of the continuum of care for substance use disorders, mixed methods research, working with partners, strong written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams). Knowledge of human subjects' research guidelines, contract, and budget management. Proficiency with Qualtrics, NVivo, Tableau or other data visualization software, and a minimum of one statistical package (SAS, SPSS, Stata, or R) are preferred.

    SPONSOR FUNDED:***This is a regular, full-time position which involves on-campus and online duties, with job continuation dependent upon grant funding.
