Description

Asphalt Superintendent - Civil Contractor - Boston MA Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all assigned contract provisions and requirements.
• Oversee the activities of on-site superintendents, craft workers, and staff, managing labor issues and setting productivity expectations.
• Assist the Project Manager with scheduling coordination with the main office/dispatch.
• Interface with the client, providing periodic project status updates, electronic/written correspondence, and representing the company in meetings.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop field management, supervisors, and tradespeople, supporting employee engagement and retention processes.

Profile

Asphalt Superintendent - Civil Contractor - Boston MA Qualifications:

• Proficient in materials, methods, and tools used in hot mix asphalt construction for highways, roads, site work, and related fields.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, construction plans, and contracts.
• Well-versed in construction survey terminology relevant to heavy civil construction projects. Knowledgeable about a broad range of heavy highway and survey practices and principles.
• Experienced in working within a 'self-perform' multi-trade project environment.
• Competent in construction layouts with a basic understanding of operating GPS survey equipment and familiarity with GPS machine control.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and effective delegation skills.
• Strong technical, mathematical, and spatial skills.
