Capitol House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is hiring for a part-time Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of duties involved in the routine preventative maintenance of nursing home.

Monday - Friday - 10:00am - 6:00pm

License / Certifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have 1-year maintenance experience in medical/hospital maintenance.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several variables
Knowledge and some experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, painting, fire suppression systems, transportation equipment, and other hospital equipment.

Experience / Skills:

Performs a variety of duties in support of interior and exterior building maintenance
Assists with repairs to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, fire suppression systems, medical equipment, transportation equipment, and any other hospital equipment as needed.
Performs preventative maintenance completing monthly maintenance logs
Performs equipment assembly and troubleshooting as required.
Assists with routine testing of equipment, alarms, safety systems and other items required to promote a safe environment.
Supports facilities manager in environmental and safety support activities
Maintains inventories and orders maintenance supplies.
Complete exterior building maintenance
Moves furniture and equipment as needed.
