Teacher - Grade 3 Educator
Mission:
The goal of Eagle Academy Public Charter School is to establish the groundwork for a bright future for all students in a vibrant learning setting that encourages innovation, problem-solving skills, and focuses on cognitive, social, and emotional development by involving children as active participants.
Job Description:
- Deliver educational services necessary to instruct all students to high standards in the specific field.
- Ensure all students achieve Internationally Benchmarked Common Core Standards associated with DC academic standards that align with federal, state, and district guidelines, requirements, legislation, and rules.
- Adhere to and wholeheartedly support Eagle's policies, procedures, and expectations.
The educator is accountable for the academic and social-emotional growth of each student.
- The educator guarantees a child
- The educator is responsible for the measurable progress of students in academic and social-emotional growth.
- Foster an engaging learning atmosphere, implement the curriculum, customize the curriculum to cater to students' diverse needs, incorporate technology in the classroom, guide the associate educator (when applicable), prepare for aides, and collaborate with colleagues, students, parents, and administration.
Reports to:
Building Principal
Qualifications:
- Hold a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education and/or Elementary Education, degree in their specialized area, or combination thereof
- Desire a minimum of two years of successful classroom teaching experience, ideally in an urban educational environment
Compensation:
$72,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
