Pedagogical Specialist (m/f/d):


We are looking for a pedagogical specialist for our support center in Petersburg, VA, where people with high support needs are accompanied.

Our clients have severe and/or multiple disabilities and receive daily structure, nursing and individual assistance, support and development in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.


Your responsibilities:


  • You support people with disabilities in their daily lives, provide suggestions for activities, structure their daily routine and provide nursing assistance.
  • You are responsible for a group of 67 clients together with another person, but also have the willingness to cover for other groups as needed and work together with all groups.
  • You have strong social skills, empathy and see the client as an independent person, supporting them in realizing their wishes and utilizing their potential.

We expect:


  • Completed training as a special needs educator, educator or equivalent
  • Experience in working with people with disabilities, in nursing and assistance; experience in "supported communication" is desirable
  • Flexibility, commitment, team spirit
