    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic Strategy & Growth Team at Erewhon. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our existing Engineer to drive forward a multitude of growth initiatives spanning both consumer-facing and internal operational projects. Projects may include new designs aimed at streamlining operations, integrating systems for increased efficiency, and developing tools to empower our employees, mobile app/website development and more. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of Erewhon while leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance our offerings and operations.

    The ideal candidate for this Software Engineer position will possess a strong background in software engineering, with a strong proficiency in back-end technologies. You should be adept at collaborating within a team environment and have a passion for innovation and problem-solving. Additionally, a proactive mindset and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively will be key to success in this role.     Responsibilities:

    • Work as a core member of our engineering team to support our existing infrastructure and develop and build new integrations and features
    • Work alongside our Executive Leadership and Operations teams to improve Erewhon operations and connect major systems across the business including mobile app, inventory management, CRM, accounting software, 3rd party software, and more
    • Help build tools to help expand Erewhon's e-commerce initiatives
    • Write "clean", well-designed code
    • Keep up to date with the latest tools and technology to help our team
    • Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product and software operations and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
    Ideal Candidate:

    You have:
    • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related engineering field
    • 3+ years of software development experience with a common backend web technology (i.e NodeJS, MySQL or similar relational database, ExpressJS)
    • Knowledge of PHP will be an advantage
    • Experience in connecting internal and external systems via APIs
    • Knowledge of AWS Technologies stacks (EC2, Lambda, RDS, etc)
    • Experience with at least one SQL-based database engine
    • Self-motivated with an ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
    • Advanced analytical skills and ability to work independently
    • Ability to solve problems and thrive in a fast-paced evolving environment
    • Willing to work full-time in an office environment in Los Angeles
