Job Description:


  • The Commercial Closing Specialist I is responsible for managing closed loans which includes funding, boarding, collateral perfection as well as exception management in accordance with Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • This position is _o_n_site_ at the following location:
  • 6000 Atrium Way
  • Mount Laurel, NJ
  • Hours of Position:
  • Monday
  • Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • Depth & Scope:
  • Manages quality and accuracy of loan collateral filing-
  • Responsible for securing Bank's collateral by reviewing lien perfection documents (paper and electronic) for accuracy and sending to recording agency in a timely manner-
  • Handles collateral perfection issues including missing documents-
  • Validates and reviews final loan package for quality, and uploads appropriate documentation to image repository system-
  • Cursory review of critical executed documents prior to releasing funds or boarding loan and provides approval-
  • Manages documentation issues and clears outstanding exceptions-
  • Majority of loans handled are standard, non-complex in nature-
  • Receipt of final loan package and validates for accuracy before uploading to image repository system-
  • Final cursory review of documents received from closing-
  • Confirms receipt of original critical document prior to moving to approved status in image repository system-
  • Manages materiality of all loan conditions (insurance, collateral, etc.)-
  • Confirms TD changes are consistent with system requirements-
  • May evaluate best course of action taking into account bank policy, regulatory requirements, impact to the customer, and impact to the bank as well as cost factors
  • Education & Experience:
  • 4 year degree or equivalent experience required-
  • 1+ years related experience required-
  • Thorough knowledge of Bank policies and procedures-
  • Strong knowledge of commercial loan documentation, title policies, appraisals, environmental assessments and entity formation documents-
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated-
  • Excellent communications, planning, Customer service, organizational and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with Customers attorneys and Bank personnel-
  • PC proficiency-
  • Paralegal experience/knowledge preferred
