This position will serve as the receptionist to the Division Headquarters and will provide secretarial duties as assigned.
This individual will greet the public, visitors, other DOT employees, vendors and contractors and must be able to communicate in a professional manner.
This individual must be able to be flexible in constant changes.This individual will answer a multi-line telephone system, process information, and maintain various records and reports including phone bills, vehicle assignments, vehicle log reports, filing, and other duties as assigned.
This person maintains phones, faxes and copier and will also distribute mail. The position will perform a variety of office assistant tasks in support of administrative, program, or technical operations.Functions include a diversity of records, reports, and filing activities, public contact, answering telephone, directing calls to appropriate person, and taking messages.
Good communication skills are necessary.Position may assist with processing payroll, inventory, purchase orders, and accounts payable through SAP; personnel and other office duties such as typing correspondence, filing, and handling of incoming and outgoing mail.
Must have knowledge and use of office equipment and related computer technology (Microsoft Windows, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SAP).Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies:
- **Customer service experience, including resolving customer issues.**:

Experience with Microsoft Office using programs such as Access, Word, and Excel

Experience completing and/or maintaining records and reports

Experience interpreting and/or explaining policies, procedures, and laws
