Summary
Provides direct patient care, treatments, and diagnostic studies, and other support services, dictated by patient needs.


Job Duties

  • Supports the culture of safety and identifies and communicates unit issues and/or concerns to RN staff members.
  • Assumes responsibility and completes routine and complex assignments for a designated group of patients within the allotted time period.
  • Participates in phases of the performance improvement process which include organizational and unitbased patient satisfaction goals.
  • Provides input for performance appraisals of care delivery team members.
  • Fosters an environment of caring, welcoming, and nurturing for new employees.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Less than 1 year Experience in the direct provision of patient care activities, treatments, and/or diagnostic studies.
  • Accepts and recognizes differences among people.
  • Demonstrates initiative and ability to function independently and interdependently.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrates leadership and team building skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to initiate, accept, and adapt to change.
  • Demonstrates time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the problem solving process in the identification and resolution of patient care or other problems.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support
  • State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Successful completion of role orientation and ongoing inservice and continuing education programs.

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs.
