    Job Title: Cashier and Receptionist
    Company Description: Join our team at a vibrant city facility and be part of providing exceptional customer service!

    Under general supervision, the role involves performing cashier and receptionist tasks. Responsibilities also include:

    • Providing front desk services with a focus on excellent customer service
    • Controlling facility admission and handling cash transactions
    • Communicating effectively with patrons in person and over the phone
    • Enforcing facility policies and procedures
    • Assisting in record maintenance and program registrations
    • Participating in special projects and may need to work overtime
    • Training and mentoring junior team members

    Education/Experience:
    Candidates must be at least 16 years old and have six months of previous experience in customer service, receptionist roles, or public-facing positions, preferably in a similar setting.

    Licensing/Certification Requirements:
    No specific licenses or certifications are required for this position.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    The ideal candidate will possess:

    - Knowledge of office practices and city procedures
    - Basic math and language skills
    - Ability to multitask and work independently
    - Strong customer service and money-handling skills
    - Proficiency in using various office equipment and software
    - Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    - Capacity to maintain professionalism and handle various responsibilities

    Physical and Mental Requirements:
    This role involves light work that can require sitting, standing, walking, and other physical tasks. The employee may need to exert force occasionally and should have good visual acuity.

    Examinations during the recruitment process may include screenings beyond qualifications.

    Completeness and accuracy in application are crucial. Providing false information could lead to disqualification.

    As part of employment conditions, the city conducts background checks including credit reports and driving records.
    A drug screen, physical, and/or psychological examination may be required for certain roles.
