Roles & Responsibilities


The
Receiver is responsible for coordinating deliveries into VM BASE, checks delivery content against the shipping invoice for accuracy, addresses and adjusts materials in order to ensure shipment accuracy, and ensuring placement of received inventory into allocated location following receiving procedures.

The receiver is responsible for coordinating with the Inventory Supervisor to address any shipping and delivery issues that may arise.

The receiver must have knowledge of commonly-used inventory/industry concepts, practices, and procedures related to delivery and inventory receipt. This position relies on thorough implementation of instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.


Position Summary

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Receives inbound deliveries.
  • Ensure order accuracy with attention to detail.
  • Loads and unloads containers using forklifts or other necessary means.
  • Studies records and recommends remedial action for reported non usable, slow moving and excess stock.
  • Daily Lumber checks reporting any mold or fall down material
  • Keeps Yard and warehouse areas clean and organized.
  • Informs the Director of Operations and Inventory Supervisor of discrepancies and inventory needs
  • Assist with inventory and inventory audits
  • Assists with deliveries when necessary.
  • Provides backup to Inventory Administrator as needed.
  • Responsible for adhering to all safety rules
  • Other duties as assigned.

Other Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Education/Credentials: High school diploma or its equivalent preferred
  • Training: Forklift, Machinery preferred
  • Experience: 2+ years previous experience
