This contractor position offers an initial term of engagement till
December 31st 2024, with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time, based on performance and mutual interest.


Responsibilities:


  • Source and curate a diverse selection of scripts, novels, graphic novels, and other original IPs from publishing houses, writer's groups, and individual creators.
  • Evaluate submissions based on criteria such as originality, creativity, marketability, and alignment with our studio's vision and brand identity.
  • Negotiate rights, royalties, and licensing agreements with content creators/publishing services, ensuring the establishment of clear terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including development, production, postproduction, and creative departments, to ensure that selected projects are seamlessly integrated into our pipeline.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to content creators throughout the development process, including script revisions, storyboarding, and concept development.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging talent, and new opportunities for collaboration within the publishing community.

Requirements:


  • 2+ years of experience in narrative content development.
  • Proven experience in sourcing and acquiring scripts or original IPs for film, television, animation, or related industries.
  • Strong network of connections within the publishing industry, including relationships with publishing houses, literary agents, and writer's groups.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative feedback and navigate contractual agreements.
  • Demonstrated passion for storytelling and a keen eye for identifying compelling narratives and unique voices.
  • Detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property rights, copyright law, and industry standards for content acquisition and distribution.
