Primary Purpose and Overall Objective of the Job:This position is to provide solution-oriented consultative training, technical support and troubleshooting at customer sites, and remotely, on bioMerieuxs diagnostic product lines.

Effectively work with customers to achieve efficient implementation and go live of new instrumentation. Retain current customer business, while developing and strengthening customer relationships that result in customer loyalty and positive referrals. The Field Application Specialist promotes teamwork and cooperation, removes barriers to productivity, and creates an enthusiastic, positive work environment.

Main Accountabilities:

Coordinate and provide technical training, consultation, and ongoing support of bioMerieuxs diagnostic product lines within the U.S.Answer internal and external customer inquiries and ensure regulatory compliance through timely and accurate documentation in bioMerieuxs CRM system; consulting as appropriate with Sales Partners, Application Specialists, Field/System Engineers, IT Resources, Management teams, and Local/Global Support Teams.

Provide consistent follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and meet minimum key performance indicators.
Responsible for efficient territory management within operating expense budget.
Support bioMerieux revenue initiatives.

Typical Studies-Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

Studies-Experience:
Bachelor Degree in medical technology, technical or life science field, or equivalent experience.
Three years clinical laboratory experience or equivalent. bioMerieux product experience preferred.

Skills and Qualifications:
Demonstrate leadership skills, able to work independently, effectively multitask to meet deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Windows OS, MS Office programs.
Exhibit sound decision-making ability, including problem resolution and troubleshooting.

Laboratory Information System, or Connectivity/Networking experience a plusScope and Resources Accountability, Typical Performance Indicators:

Scope and Resources Accountability :
Manage training and field support of bioMerieux diagnostic products within the U.S. Territory management over designated geographic area. Extensive field travel is required (min 60%, including overnight stays)

Financial Indicators (revenue, budget, etc.):
Departmental Revenue contributions and OPEX budget control.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Effective and efficient training and support of bioMerieux diagnostic systems.

Key Contacts (internal / external) and Interfaces : Customer Laboratory Personnel, Customer Support Operations, Regional Service Managers, Local and Global Technical Support Managers and Personnel, Sales Managers, Marketing Managers, Local Field Service and Applications Personnel.
