About us

Up Raise has an opening for a bi-lingual English/Spanish construction foreman: overseeing crews that handle construction, maintenance and handyman jobs.

Must be a master carpenter and handyman, have the ability to think on their feet and at times come up with creative, safe, beautiful solutions on residential and small commercial places.

Your job will be important as safety is #1 priority as well as getting the job done right and quickly, not sacrificing quality.

Need to have experience with remodeling, painting, build outs of small commercial spaces, flooring, decks, tile and trim work, carpentry, drywall, masonry, etc.

Must have experience with various tools and in various heights and spaces while observing all safety measures.

(Experience in calculating and selecting the right material for each job would be a plus.)


Responsibilities

• Management/Oversee crews and report to Management
• Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
• Follow plans and instructions, adhering to local building codes
• Take on and adhere to all health and safety precautionsenforce safety rules
• Manage onsite preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
• Ability to train and educate crews.
• Skills to remodel and construct various types of spaces.
• Communicate proper use of tools and appropriate materials for each job assignment.
• Complete jobs on time and on budget.

Skills

• Proven experience as a foreman and carpenter/handyman
• Solid knowledge of the construction industry and safe work techniques
• Aptitude in using appropriate tools
• Good basic math skills
• Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.
• Conscientious with great attention to detail
• High school diploma; successful completion of an apprenticeship
