About the role
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented sales operations specialist to join our commercial team.

As the Sales Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our sales processes, enhancing productivity, and maximizing revenue.

This is a critical role that will develop and implement strategies, systems, and initiatives that streamline sales operations, improve sales performance and associated metrics, and ensure alignment with company objectives.


What You'll Do

Process Design and Improvement: Analyze current sales processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to streamline workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance overall sales productivity.

Data Analysis & Insights: Utilize data analytics to track and evaluate sales performance metrics, including sales pipeline, conversion rates, win-loss analysis, and revenue forecasts.

Manage the Tech Stack: Oversee the sales-driven aspects of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, in collaboration with marketing, and in addition to other sales tools Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and utilization to support sales efforts and enable informed decision-making. Lead evaluation and implementation of any new sales systems.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence: Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and product, to ensure alignment and collaboration in achieving company objectives.

Sales & Forecast Reporting: Generate and maintain regular reports and dashboards to provide insights into sales performance, trends, and opportunities. Present findings to senior management and provide actionable recommendations for strategic decision-making.

Order Management: Provide quality review of CRM financial, customer deal data, quotes and contracts to ensure proper processes are followed. Maintain the list of SKUs in the CRM.

Sales Compensation: Develop and implement sales compensation plans in partnership with the Head of Sales. Partner with Finance on commission approval and payouts.

Sales Enablement: Ensure sales team is trained on relevant sales processes and tech stack interactions.


About you

  • Based in the US East coast, ideally near Boston, MA or New York City (or open to relocation)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in sales operations
  • A demonstrated track record of success in optimizing sales processes and driving sales performance in a SaaS company
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (HubSpot and Salesforce preferred), advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Suite, and general familiarity with sales automation tools
  • A strong analytical mindset, exceptional leadership and collaboration skills, and thrive in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to create and maintain sales metrics reports, and present them to crossfunctional stakeholders and leadership
  • Strong attention to detail and quality processes

Nice to have:


  • Life sciences or bioinformatics experience
  • Deep knowledge of tools and software used by sales teams
  • Salesforce and/or Hubspot certification (administrator or developer)
  • Previous experience in a customerfacing role
  • Project Management certification and/or experience
