Description
Job Description:
+ Oversee monthly close process, which includes the preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and the income statement
+ Create and maintain monthly reports to compare and analyze results with budgets, forecasts, and previous results
+ Collaborate with various departments to identify cost savings and maximize profitability
+ Assist with the acquisition integrations and implement/streamline software and business applications
+ Issue timely and complete financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements
+ Coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
+ Assist external auditors with the annual audit, as well as the coordination of income tax returns and provision requests
+ Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting systems, supporting databases, and troubleshoot system issues
+ Train and support other team members in the use of financial systems
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
+ Mix of public and private accounting experience preferred
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
+ Must have excellent computer and technical skills
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Demonstrated competence in decision making and working with other departments
+ Ability to take initiative, multi-task, and work well under pressure
