Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Report to the Housekeeping Department at the arranged time and in uniform.
  • Pick up daily room assignment, keys to the assigned section and cleaning supplies.
  • Check all units for vacancy using prescribed methods, clean units in detail and restock guest supplies as needed.
  • Before entering a room, he/she should always knock on the door first, saying softly "Housekeeping" then wait a few moments before entering the room.
  • Take a good look at the condition of the room, checking for missing items, such as linen, wastebaskets, and even TV sets. Also check room for damages. Call the Housekeeping office if any articles are missing.
  • Report any lost and found items to the Housekeeping Department.
  • Maintain positive public relations and attitude with all guests and associates.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safe working practices and conditions within department at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Able to track and keep accurate records
  • Ability to function well under pressure
  • Well organized and detail orientated
  • Knowledge of service standards
  • Additional work experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Reading and writing in English preferred, but not required
  • Must possess initiative and high energy level
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities
  • Ability to interact with guests and associates
  • Outstanding hospitality skills
