SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Security Analyst to join our team and report to the Security Engineer.

The Security Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's IT infrastructure, with a focus on Cisco, SQL Server, VMware, Exchange, and assisting the systems and network team.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Security Engineer to develop and implement effective security measures, monitor systems for potential vulnerabilities, and respond to security incidents.

DUTIES:

Security Monitoring and Incident Response:

Monitor network, systems, and applications for security breaches, intrusions, and unusual activity.
Investigate and respond to security incidents promptly, following established incident response procedures.
Analyze security logs and alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Conduct forensic analysis and contribute to incident reports for management and stakeholders.

Security Infrastructure Support:

Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of security systems and infrastructure, with a focus on Cisco networking equipment, SQL Server databases, VMware virtualization technologies, and Exchange email systems.
Collaborate with the systems and network team to ensure the security of the organization's IT environment.
Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks.
Assist with the configuration and management of security tools, such as intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, and antivirus solutions.

Security Policies and Procedures:

Contribute to the development and enhancement of security policies, standards, and procedures.
Stay uptodate with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
Provide guidance and recommendations to improve the organization's security posture.

Security Awareness and Training:

Assist in the development and delivery of security awareness programs and training sessions for employees.
Educate staff on security best practices and the importance of adhering to established security policies.

REQUIREMENTS:

Proven experience in a securityfocused role, preferably as a Security Analyst or similar position. 23 years of experience preferred.
Strong knowledge and experience with Cisco networking equipment, SQL Server databases, VMware virtualization technologies, and Exchange email systems.
Familiarity with security tools such as intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, and antivirus solutions.
Understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies.
Proficiency in analyzing security logs and alerts to identify potential threats.
Ability to conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans.
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
