    The Hoover Institute seeks to improve the human condition by advancing ideas that promote economic opportunity and prosperity while securing and safeguarding peace for America and all mankind.

    We are in need of a Social Media Strategist to develop effective ways for a public policy research center/think tank to use social media to reach target audiences.

    Contributing to the development of social media strategy and calendar
    Creating original social media posts with the goal of educating, engaging, and growing a global audience
    Using platform data insights to continuously refine and improve our approach

    Requirements:


    Bachelor's degree and three to five years of relevant experience in the workforce, or combination of education and relevant experience required.

    Five years of relevant experience strongly preferred including knowledge of and experience in the field of public policy.

    Excellent research skills with an ability to distill complicated policy issues in a way that appeals to social media audiences, as well as pulling from the library of Institutional research in relation to current policy debates/news issues.

    Experience and understanding of public policy.

    Knowledge of the web, technology, social platforms, current and future trends; Ability to illustrate proven success with growing various social media audiences and increasing engagement.

    Demonstrated problem solver; Excellent writing and analytical skills.

    Ability to leverage current and future trends to help an organization succeed at the initiative level, for a specific group, team or unit.

    Ability to work independently to meet expected deadlines and schedules.
    Experience leading highly-functioning teams.
