- Models, calculates, and communicates incentive compensation plan results, including to management. This includes all types of incentives - corporate, sales, and operations.
- Performs analyses on salary and wage cost including cost per visit, cost per FTE, and other relevant analyses.
- Calculates and analyzes salary and wage accruals including other payroll related accruals.
- Prepares various month-end accruals and assists team with the same as necessary.
- Cross trains with other members of the department, at the direction of the supervisor.
- Prepares monthly balance sheet schedules.
- Initiates or responds to calls and other inquiries regarding accounting or other financial matters.
- Assists with budget planning and preparation.
- Initiates requests and collects data and reports for month-end close.
- Performs ad hoc analyses as needed.
- Complies with policies, procedures and regulatory mandates including but not limited to abiding to the terms of the Amedisys Compliance Program.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- One (1+) year of experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
- Experience in public accounting.
- Experience in PeopleSoft.

Overview:
Responsible for calculating, communicating, and modeling incentive compensation plans and providing support to senior management as requested. Also responsible for collecting, reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting financial and budgetary data and actively participating in the month-end close process.
