- Requirements Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis and modeling of business processes using Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN). Translate complex requirements into clear, actionable systems requirements.
- System Expertise: Leverage knowledge and provide analysis for VA-specific applications such as the VACOLS (Veterans Appeals Control and Locator System) and Case Flow applications.
- Agile Analysis: Work within an agile environment to rapidly iterate on solution design and functionality, ensuring responsiveness to evolving needs under this task order.
- Collaborative Strategy: Collaborate closely with IT and business teams to enhance strategic planning and reporting capabilities, refining processes to align with BVA's mission and goals.
- Evaluation and Feedback: Evaluate the implementation of business processes, measuring their impact and providing detailed feedback to adjust strategies as needed.
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in business systems analysis/requirements analysis, preferably within the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) working within BVA.
- Strong experience with Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) and business systems analysis.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with JIRA application.
- Proven knowledge of VA's Court Management systems, preferably with VACOLS or Case Flow or minimally with VBMS (Veterans Benefits Management System).
- Excellent communication skills, capable of working collaboratively across teams and with stakeholders to ensure alignment and cooperation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Project.
