Children's Learning Place is looking for individuals who are passionate about working and helping with the development of children from 6 weeks old to 6 years old.

The position we are focusing on at the moment are Substitutes for all locations.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following

  • Help ensure a safe and loving environment for the children's benefit and for the parents' peace of mind.
  • Open to working with children from age: 6 weeks old to 6 years old
  • Assist teachers with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
  • Assist in supervision on all children at all times
  • Responsible for working with the teacher to create, lesson plans, newsletters, classroom plans
  • Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment
  • Assist in daily activities, including setting up the classroom, conducting activities, and cleaning and sanitizing toys and equipment
  • Assist in preparation, serving and clean up for breakfast, lunch and snack
  • Assist with all difficult potty training, positive disciplining
  • Possess qualities that enable her to replace the Teacher in there absence.
  • Must participate in 15 hours of inservice training or off site training per calendar year.

DCFS:
(a)Early childhood assistants shall meet the requirements of Section , with the exception of subsection. (b) Early childhood and school-age assistants shall have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED).


DCFS and Health Department requires proof of MMR vaccines and T-dap

From $16.00 per hour

  • High school or equivalent (required)

Experience:

Early Childhood Education: 1 year (preferred)
