About the role:
This role is responsible for enhancing our cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance practices through data analytics, reporting, and automation of processes.
This position will be required to gather, analyze, and visualize data related to security metrics, compliance requirements, risks, exceptions, and risk assessments using PowerBI and other data analytics tools and dashboards.
Additionally through this analysis, this position will be empowered to identify opportunities to automate and create efficiencies throughout the governance, risk, and compliance organization to ensure the program moves forward with utmost efficiency and complete accuracy, driving continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain key metrics that are required to monitor the health of the Cybersecurity Risk organization.
Ensure metrics are aligned with the organizational goals and risk awareness requirements.
Organize metrics into different dashboards that are easily consumable by all levels of the organization, including Executive Management.
Identify opportunities for automation to reduce manual aspects and create a more efficient working environment.
Transpose reports and dashboards into graphics that will be used to report on the continuous efforts of process maturity, risk reduction, and risk ownership to the Board of Directors.
Collaborate with and support other Cybersecurity risk and governance teams to assess and mitigate cyber risks. Assist in development and implementation of risk management strategies and policies. Participate in audits, assessments, and compliance activities as needed.
Monitor and maintain automated processes to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
Work with cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity governance metrics and processes into other governance frameworks.
Stay current on industry best practices and trends related to cybersecurity governance, PowerBI, and process automation.
Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Security, along with one or more current certifications in the respective field.
4+ years Cybersecurity experience, specifically in risk management practices, information security, and/or privacy frameworks.
Experience using PowerBI or similar data analytics tools and developing metrics to support an organization's mission.
3+ years of hands-on experience in software development preferred, utilizing various programming languages and frameworks
Strong proficiency in Python programming language.
Knowledge of Terraform, including creating and managing infrastructure as code.
Experience working with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes.
Experience with various orchestration tools like Github Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and similar tools.
Good knowledge of development methodologies, version control systems (e.g., Git), and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
Demonstrate an understanding of Large Language Models (LLM) and use cases for Cybersecurity.
Ability to build and manage relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization.
General working knowledge of Cybersecurity tools, capabilities, and concepts.
Familiarity with Cybersecurity industry best practices, frameworks, and methodologies such as but not limited to NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK, CIS, etc.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with an ability to facilitate meetings or presentations to your team, the information security organization, and/or executive leadership in both remote and in person situations.
