Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team.
As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienists to provide exceptional dental care to our patients.
Your role will involve assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a clean and sterile environment.Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment area, handing instruments, and providing suction
- Take and develop dental xrays as directed by the dentist
- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and trimming temporary crowns
- Provide postoperative instructions to patients as directed by the dentist
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
- Perform dental receptionist duties such as answering phone calls, greeting patients, and handling paperwork
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
- X-Ray certification required
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Proficient in using Eaglesoft
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients and team members
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Basic knowledge of medical imaging techniques and equipment
- Understanding of patient assessment techniques and vital signs measurement
Job Type:
Part-time
Pay:
$ $20.38 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
Schedule:

- Dental assisting: 3 years (required)
License/Certification:
- X-Ray Certification (required)
