Our Conroe Facility produces downhole products for drilling activities in North America. Our plant has high demand and is operating 24/7 to produce these products for our customers.

What's the Job Like?

Job Requirements:


  • Coordinate shipments of products by all modes of transportation.
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
  • Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
  • Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
  • Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
  • Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
  • Deliver or route materials to departments using forklifts, overhead cranes, handtrucks, conveyors, or sorting bins.
  • Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
  • Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and accurate inventory transactions in support of providing service to both internal/external customers.
  • Processes documentation for shipments (BOL's) and coordinates with carriers for outbound shipment and pickup inquiries.
  • Communicates with department supervisors, upper management, sales and operations departments.
  • Maintains daily shipping log, books trucks/carriers and processes packing lists according to order specifications.
  • Updates Warehouse Open Release Dashboard.
  • Maintain NOV guidelines on safety, quality, and delivery.
  • Clean work areas as necessary to maintain cleanliness, health, and safety standards.
  • All other reasonable tasks assigned with the goal of helping the team, operations, or the facility overall.

Experience and Education:


  • High School diploma, minimum requirement
  • Experience with hardfacing operations, a plus.

Technical Skills:


  • Be able to follow engineering prints and specifications
  • Know proper use and care of manufacturing equipment
  • Be able to use computer as necessary to obtain specifications and prints

Who's Going to be Successful in this Job?

  • Ability to work 12 hours on your feet (with lunch and 2 breaks)
  • 2+ years of experience in a machine shop/manufacturing facility is preferred
  • Experience operating a forklift and other lifting and moving equipment
  • Know proper use and care of manufacturing equipment
