- Manage the efficient operations and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, structural, and life safety equipment and systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and infrastructure to identify preventative repairs.
- Comply with safety procedures and maintain compliance with regulations.
- Provide support for facilities requests, service, and maintenance calls.
- Assist with general upkeep of the facility.
- Ensure the facility is a comfortable and safe place to work for all employees.
- Recommend innovative processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the building and systems.
- Assist and communicate effectively with other STR sites.
- Health & Safety Liaison supporting onsite emergency response to events including but not limited to: hurricane, flooding, fire emergencies etc.
- Oversee general building inspections.
- Identify safety issues and report them promptly.
- Manage capital improvement projects as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Electrical/Mechanical disciplines preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in Facilities, building engineering
- Extensive building systems knowledge including fire protection, HVAC and electrical systems.
- Familiar with NFPA, NEC and ASHREA standards
- Knowledgeable of international building code (IBC), state and local building codes
- OSHA 10 Safety certification preferred.
- Experience with general and sub-contractors for building modifications or improvements
- Experience in construction or project management
- Familiar with DOD secure facility infrastructure
- Security clearance preferred.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, AutoCAD, VISIO, and other standard computer applications.
- Collaborative, self-motivated, and efficient, with good judgment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt well to change.
- Superior interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with external partners and colleagues at all levels across the organization.
- Thirst for excellence and enthusiasm to expand his/her experience and take on additional responsibilities within the organization.
- Soft skills requirements (communication, organization-detail oriented, relationships, etc.)
- Ability to meet physical job requirements such as climbing ladders, heavy lifting (up to 50LBS), etc.
- This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government.
