Job Overview:
Duties:
- Manage daytoday operations at the construction site
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations
- Review and interpret project plans, schematics, and blueprints
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality standards
- Prepare and submit progress reports to upper management
- Responsible for overseeing work of all trades (site work, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, steel, etc.)
- Effectively manage onsite activities from demolition through to final punch list
- Manages staff and subcontractors by evaluating, monitoring and controlling performance
- Works with Project Manager to meet construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions
- Accomplishes construction project results by managing project purpose and scope; calculating resources required; establishing standards and protocols; allocating resources; scheduling and coordinating staff and subcontractors; evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions; resolving design problems; evaluating and implementing change orders
- Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing codes
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
- Responsible for overseeing work of all trades (site work, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, steel, etc.)
- Scheduling crews and equipment as needed
- Schedule material deliveries as needed
- Attend weekly manning meeting at office once a week
- Attend job site meetings as needed
- Ensure crews are working safely and maintain a safe/clean jobsite
- Compile and report daily productions and manhours
- Complete jobsite safety forks and other jobsite paperwork as needed
- Holds and conducts weekly subcontractor meetings and onsite safety orientation meetings.
- Identifies schedule risks and plans of action and keeps project manager uptodate on risk exposures to add to exposure log.
- Works closely with city officials in requesting and coordinating applicable inspections.
- Mobilizes and secures the site; also puts in place safety measures associated with the signage.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction management
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Pay:
$80, $150,000.00 per year
Experience level:
- 2 years
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Ability to Relocate:
- Brooklyn, NY 11249: Relocate before starting work (required)
