    Calvin Giordano & Associates, a SAFEbuilt company is currently searching for a Traffic Engineer in our West Palm Beach or Fort Lauderdale office.

    This position offers great opportunity for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of work assignments.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Design and permitting of roadway, signing and pavement marking and/or signalization plans for widening projects, intersection upgrades, school flashers, mid-block crossings, etc.

    Development of various traffic operations and safety studies to help identify, evaluate, and recommend traffic operations and safety improvements for intersections, and arterials.

    Data collection analysis of corridor traffic counts, including turning movement counts (TMC), average daily traffic (ADT) counts, heavy vehicle counts and queue length studies.

    Crash analysis for the corridor, Arterial Safety Analysis and Intersection Safety Analyses for the study intersections.

    Conduct traffic impact studies to assess the development project's impact on the surrounding transportation network and determine if adequate capacity is available to support future demand.

    As part of a preliminary existing conditions study, traffic data was collected at the intersections within the project study area.

    The traffic volume data includes 24- Hour Bi-Directional Machine Counts, Segment Traffic Volumes and 4-hour intersection turning movement volumes, during the AM and PM peak periods.

    EDUCATION /


    EXPERIENCE:
    Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
    Experience in Microstation preferred
    Experience in CAD required
    EIT certification
