LOCATION OF POSITION:

POSITION DUTIES:

This position provides professional and superior customer service to internal and eternal clients/ customers in the areas of recruitment and talent acquisition.

The incumbent will coordinate and implement comprehensive recruitment outreach programs, utilize high-yield marketing strategies, coordinate hiring events as well as form and manage collaborative partnerships with various levels of stakeholders.


Other duties include:

  • Actively scout and research talent acquisition opportunities
  • Develop collaborative relationships and partnerships with agencies throughout the State of Maryland
  • Develop, plan and oversee agency regional hiring events, including cost, location, setup, staffing, flow of operations, etc.
  • Develop processes for following up with potential applicants from job fairs and other career events
  • Utilize knowledge of labor market to implement employer outreach strategies

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Applicants must meet all minimum qualifications to be considered, and to appear on the list of people eligible for hire. Please read all requirements before applying.

Experience:

Six years and six months of experience, two years and six months of professional HR experience involving recruitment and employment services, classification and compensation, employee relations, test development and validation job analysis, job evaluation, salary administration, HR program evaluation, or HR policy formulation and an additional four years of professional HR management work experience in the areas of recruitment and selection, classification, salary administration, employee relations, test development and validation or as a generalist.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Experience conducting large scale recruitments
  • Experience with event planning and logistics
  • Project Management Experience

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS:


  • Employees in this classification are required to obtain certification in State Personnel Management System policies and procedures and in the functionality of the Statewide Personnel System from the Office of Personnel Services and Benefits, Maryland Department of Budget and Management within six months from the time of appointment to the position. Employees are also required to obtain recertification every six months thereafter.
  • Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
