Best Care EMS is looking for an Overnight EMS Supervisor to join our team.


GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK:


  • Assists in monitoring station operations to ensure the delivery of quality and cost effective service. This would include but not be limited to appropriate vehicle utilization and efficient inservice times for crews.
  • Assists with scheduling.
  • Communicates with on duty crews to ensure operational readiness.
  • Ensures crew compliance with established medical protocol, policies and procedures.
  • Assists with field personnel scheduling.
  • Assists in ensuring that all patient care reports and supporting documentation are complete, correct and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Acts as a backup Medic on emergency and nonemergency calls as needed.
  • Assists in evaluating, counseling and participates in disciplinary procedures of field personnel.
  • Assists in overseeing vehicle restocking/cleaning to ensure they meet or exceed state requirements in regards to maintenance, equipment, supplies and cleanliness.
  • Assists in the orientation and inservice training of new and current employees.
  • Determines the need for and ensures that Incident Reports, Accident Reports and other documentation is completed as required.
  • Works with other supervisors and/or managers to evaluate and resolve operational problems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

The individual in this position must possess the following qualifications:


  • Current Texas EMT-B
  • Must be able to work overnight.
  • Holds and maintains motor vehicle operator's license in the state of legal residence.
  • Holds and maintains Licensure and/or Certification appropriate to station assignment(s).
  • Intimate knowledge of the Service Area the employee will be operating in, to include, but not limited to the location of the Hospitals, Contracted Specialized Nursing Facilities, and frequently utilized Treatment Centers.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficient with computers, specifically, M.S. Window's operations, and ideally the employee will have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Minimum of (2) years experience managing employees.

Pay:
$52, $75,000.00 per year

  • Supervisor: 1 year (required)

License/Certification:

  • Texas Drivers License (required)
  • TDSHS EMT-B License (required)
