    Paraprofessional- Full-Time- Springfield, IL

    Compensation: $18.55/hour

    Hope is a clinical, educational, and therapeutic provider for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. We exist to help children and their families reach their maximum potential by providing state-of-the-art applied behavioral analysis therapies and access to recreation, vocational training, and individualized education programming. Our mission is to provide the best services in the most inclusive environments to encourage persons to fulfill their individual potential through evidence-based treatment, advocacy, and community education. There's no place like Hope.

    Paraprofessional Essential Duties:

    • Support students in a classroom setting at the Hope Learning Academy and complete appropriate data tracking and entry.
    • Provide instruction and assistance that meets students' Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals and objectives.
    • Encourage student independence while following the classroom schedule and implementing educational programs.
    • Foster a stimulating, accepting, and safe learning environment for all students.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Must be 19 years of age or older.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
    • Must hold or attain Paraprofessional licensure for Illinois.
    • Valid Illinois Driver's license.
    • Successful background clearance, physical, agility test, and drug/alcohol screening.
    • Able to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds.
    • Able to stand, walk, grasp, reach, stoop, crouch, crawl, and run.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an education or human services related field.
    • Experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
    • Experience working in a classroom setting.
