As an accountant analyst, you'll be pivotal in conducting detailed financial analyses and collaborating across departments to optimize processes.

Responsibilities:


  • Freight Accounting Oversight: Take charge of all aspects of freight accounting, including recording, reconciliation, and analysis of freight costs and revenue margins.
  • Intercompany Transaction Management: Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of intercompany transactions, encompassing billing, payments, and netting.
  • Expertise in ERP Systems: Leverage proficiency in diverse ERP systems to manage and maintain financial data related to freight and intercompany processes.
  • Timely Month-

End Close:
Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end close activities and upload procedures.

  • Account Reconciliation Enhancement: Engage in the review and enhancement of account reconciliations on a monthend basis utilizing Blackline software.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Responsible for SOX key control operating effectiveness, company policy compliance, and documenting policies and procedures.
  • Financial Acumen Demonstration: Demonstrate financial competence in financial reporting, internal control, analysis, and technical accounting knowledge.
  • Policy and Procedures: Evaluate and review key policies, and procedures, and develop related documentation.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively lead projects related to process improvement and system upgrades.

Project Management:

Effectively manage multiple initiatives to ensure long-term operational excellence, including leading projects related to process improvement and system upgrades.


  • Performance Metrics Development: Develop Key Performance Indicators and metrics to drive performance.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong written communication skills, along with clear and concise verbal skills, are required for effective interaction with collaborators at all levels of the organization.


By fulfilling these responsibilities, the accountant analyst ensures the accuracy, compliance, and optimization of financial operations related to freight and intercompany processes, contributing to the overall success of the organization.


Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance strongly preferred
  • Advanced Qualification Preferred (CPA, MBA)

Experience:


  • 3+ Years General-Ledger Experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong Analytical capabilities.
  • Competent Microsoft Office user (use of Power BI and Power Query is a plus).
  • Requires critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Hyperion, Oracle, and Blackline Systems experience is a plus.
  • Spanish or Portuguese bilingual speaker is a plus.
  • Public accounting and experience in a large, global organization is a plus.
Demonstrate financial acumen in financial reporting, internal control, forecasting, analysis, and technical accounting knowledge.
