Job Title:
Adult Protective Services (APS)
_Case Aide**_
Function:
The Case Aide works closely with the APS Case workers and Supervisor with their case management activities.
Reports To:
APS Direct Supervisor, Director of APS programs, Executive Director
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and make calls pertaining to allegations of abuse
- Enter abuse report data into Case Management Portal
- Aid the Caseworkers to compile and/upload information pertaining to social, personal, financial, or medical history for files.
- Assist Caseworkers with preparation of forms for referrals and making referral calls for services.
- Maintain files/record for Case workers APS clients cases.
This includes, but not limited to:
typing, copying, scanning, using fax machine, filing, making telephone calls, and completing forms.
- Assist Caseworkers with entering notes into AgingIS
- Documents in CMP, AgingIS, Completing Unit Tracking Logs, as well as other required documentation.
- Compose and mail out form letters.
- Other duties as assigned deemed necessary by supervisor to support the Case workers daily activities.
Key Skills Required:
At least 18 years of age
- Must be organized, mature and professional
- Will represent the agency in the community by following Senior Services Mission Statement and FISH philosophy.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, customer service skills
- Able to handle multiple issues simultaneously
- Detail oriented maintain thorough, accurate records
- Good judgment and decisionmaking, must be able to prioritize important calls, and tasks.
- Levelheaded, able to act/interact appropriately in emotional situations.
- Able to deliver uncomfortable information in such a way as to minimize adverse reactions.
- Must be able to maintain confidences and absolute privacy of SSA participant information.
- Must have computer skills
Work Location:
- May be split between two locations
Schedule:
- 5hour workdays; 25 hours per week
- Parttime position only; Nonexempt
- Volunteering for agency events is desired
