The Garden, Cemetery, and Forestry Office of the state capital of Düsseldorf is responsible for the planning, maintenance, and care of the city's green spaces, cemeteries, and forests.

The Lower Nature Conservation Authority is also located here.


The responsibilities include planning the city's green spaces at all levels and ensuring their sustainability, maintaining and caring for all city green and open spaces, as well as street trees, managing cemeteries and organizing burials, and caring for and ensuring the sustainability of the city's forests.

In addition, the city's gardening department, nursery, and workshops are integrated into the office.
