    Description
    We're looking for a Director of Finance for a luxury boutique hotel:

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    Supervise employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting duties.
    Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
    Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.

    Prepare or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies.

    Provide direction and assistance to departments regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures and efficient control and utilization of financial resources.

    Analyze the financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed.

    Monitor financial activities and details, such as cash flow and reserve levels, to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.

    Conduct or coordinate audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements and statutes.

    Prepare and file annual tax returns or prepare financial information so that outside accountants can complete tax returns.
    Compute, withhold, and account for all payroll deductions.

    Assist in all aspects of employee insurance, benefits, and casualty programs, including monitoring changes in health insurance regulations and creating budgets for benefits and worker's compensation.


    Ideal Candidate:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management or a related education
    • 3 years of experience as Director of Finance in a hotel or similar business

    Additional Important Information and Offerings:

    • M-F work schedule with the potential of occasional weekend hours
    • 401k after 6 months

    Vacation: 10 days of paid vacation, after one year of full time employment in accordance with the terms contained in the Hotel's employee handbook.


    Personal Time Off: 6 days of PTO per year after 90-days of employment in accordance with the terms contained in the Hotel's employee handbook.
