An exciting opportunity has arisen at the city of Bingen am Rhein for the position of Head of Building Management (m/f/d) to be filled as soon as possible on a full-time basis.

The city of Bingen am Rhein (population ) currently manages a portfolio of 70 properties with a total area of approximately m2.

The Building Management Department is responsible for new construction, renovation, and maintenance measures for all municipal buildings, including schools, kindergartens, administrative buildings, sports facilities, cultural and leisure facilities, as well as other municipal properties.

We are looking for a business-oriented and team-oriented individual with expertise in construction, as well as commercial and organizational knowledge and skills, strong communication and social skills, and leadership qualities and experience, ideally with experience in administration and working with committees.

The Head of Building Management will lead the department and provide impetus for changes based on the GEFMA guidelines, towards a holistic, life-cycle model-oriented, and economically oriented construction and real estate management.

The responsibilities of the Head of Building Management include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
Responsible management (personnel and technical supervision) of the department Planning, project management, project control, and execution of municipal construction projects and collaboration with commissioned architecture and engineering firms Strategic alignment of the department with the Facility Management organizational structures of GEFMA Development and implementation of maintenance strategies to support the preservation of the municipal real estate portfolio Further development of the controlling system and digitization in
