- Education: Master's Degree in a related discipline (BSN required if not MSN)
- Experience: 5 years of directly related experience
- Credentials: RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement within 60 days, and CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days. Additional credentials such as TNCC, ENPC, APLS, NALS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS or rel. are ideal but not required.
- Physical Conditions: Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
- Working conditions: Moderate exposure to chemicals/dangerous equipment/materials. Subject to an annual contract and performance appraisal.

The Pediatric Emergency Department RN is responsible for managing emergency services in collaboration with the medical director. They provide direct patient care, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies. Patient care assignment may include Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric age groups in emergency situations.
The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish. Knowledge of Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo is a plus. They should be dedicated to patient safety, possess excellent communication skills, and seek professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings, and workshops. They should also be proactive in seeking opportunities to improve patient safety through questioning of current policies and processes and report potential or actual patient safety concerns, medical errors, or near misses in a timely manner.
