Summary of Position


As a Retail Associate, you are responsible for providing exceptional service to guests and preparing beverage and food orders courteously and efficiently.

Your role encompasses servicing guests in various food and beverage outlets, primarily in the Marina Market, and ensuring their satisfaction.

You take pride in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the food and beverage area, contributing to a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for guests.

With your attention to detail and passion for hospitality, you play a vital role in delivering a memorable experience to patrons.

Whether crafting specialty drinks or assisting with food orders, you demonstrate professionalism and enthusiasm in every interaction.

This position pays $19.30 per hour.


Work Hours

  • Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.
  • Scheduling includes holidays, nights, and weekends depending on hotel events and functions.

Job Requirements

  • Understand the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel.
  • Must be able to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision.
  • Must be detailoriented and able to multitask efficiently.
  • Must be able to speak, understand, and communicate the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Must possess excellent communication, followup, and organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to push, pull, bend, squat, and lift regularly.
  • Follow safety requirements of PPE as needed for duty assigned and with the use of required tools and equipment.
  • Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize, and follow up.
  • Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
  • Follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest's service needs; work cohesively with coworkers as part of a team.
  • Knowledgeable and ensure compliance with all state liquor regulations.
  • Knowledgeable of beverages, recipes, and correct glassware and garnishes.

Responsibilities:


  • Complete opening duties as assigned, including checking the quality and quantity of all food and beverage stock and supplies using the checklist.
  • Set station according to service standards.
  • Set up all condiments, supplies, food, and beverages according to standards.
  • Prepare all fresh food and beverages according to service standards.
  • Ensure a sufficient supply of all supplies and tools
  • Ensure cleanliness and condition of assigned stations and service areas.
  • Set up side stations with supplies and equipment.
  • Take Guests' food and beverage orders on the phone and mobile orders, utilizing suggestive selling techniques.
  • Record orders of guests into the point of sale system and receive payment following service procedures.
  • Adhere to payment, cash handling, and credit policies.
  • Make and serve food and beverages for guests in accordance with service standards.
  • Retrieve food orders from the kitchen.
  • Assist guests with retail and package purchases.
  • Stock all retail and market goods.
  • Anticipate Guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all Guests, however busy.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
  • Clean and wipe down food and beverage areas immediately in the workstation and after the Guest departs.
  • Collect and report all cash, orders, and tips at the end of the assigned shift.
  • Complete closing duties and reports as assigned and leave duty after reporting to the supervisor or Manager on Duty.
  • Must be TIPS and Food Safety certified as required.
  • Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards.
  • Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operations.
  • Follow safety and security procedures.
  • Work cohesively with coworkers and all departments as part of a team.
  • Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
  • Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.
