- The specialty dental assistant must be proficient with pediatric or general assisting (pediatric experience preferred).
- Perform all dental procedures permitted consistent with the applicable state laws and regulations.
- Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment and materials for all dental procedures, while maintaining a good report with children and parents.
- Proficient with Prophy, SDF, Sealants, matrix band placement, topical anesthesia and protective restorations.
- Assist with hospital cases including management of patients, anesthesia preparation, assisting and medical emergencies.
- Oregon Dental Radiologic Proficiency certificate, required or willing to obtain.
- Oregon EFDA (Expanded Functions Dental Assistant) certificate, required or willing to obtain.
- Flexibility to travel to other WDG locations within a reasonable range as described in our Travel Policy as needed based on business need.
