Description
As a **Staff Dental Assistant**, you will be responsible for routine patient care under indirect supervision. Duties include performing selected procedures independently, with more complex tasks supervised by experienced assistants or dental supervisors.
GS-3:
**Radiologic Competence Certification** is a must. Applicants will be considered continuously for available positions until 09/30/2024.
**Work Schedule:**
Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm (8 or 9-hour shifts available).
**Duties Include:**
**Customer Service:** Respectful and courteous interaction with patients and colleagues, providing assistance and service recovery.
**Chairside Assisting:** Prepares operatory, passes instruments safely, assists in various dental procedures, and maintains dental equipment.
**Dental Imaging:** Exposes and modifies standard and specialty dental images, ensures diagnostic quality, and follows safety procedures.
**Infection Control and Equipment Sterilization:** Demonstrates infection control procedures, sterilizes instruments, and follows SOPs for medical equipment.
**Clerical Functions:** Assists in maintaining patient records, scheduling, and charting findings.
