The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for providing guests with assistance and world-class service while maintaining a comfortable shopping environment, as well as becoming experts on the different types of merchandise each outlet is selling.

All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resorts policies, practices and procedures.


Job Duties

  • Greet all guests in a timely, engaging and friendly manner, assist them in making their purchase, log sale into register and bag merchandise
  • Utilize sales techniques to increase units sold per transaction
  • Demonstrate expert product knowledge by suggesting additional and/or alternative buys that will resolve any needs the guest may have
  • Maintain appearance of sales floor and ensure all guest service standards match that of the resort
  • Fold and hang merchandise, replenish stock, maintain racks, shelves and glass cases
  • Direct all escalations to the Assistant Retail Manager
  • Follows any and all transactional procedures (credit cards, charges, comps, etc.) as directed
  • Must gain knowledge of each store's merchandise; role requires work in numerous different outlets
  • Exceed customer expectations by offering sincere suggestions and establishing trust
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Previous work experience in customer service or retail preferred.

Other Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to function well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines
  • Must possess mature personal discretion and sound judgment
  • Strong leadership abilities, sound judgment, superior problem solving and decisionmaking skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and project management skills, with particular attention to quality and detail
  • Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and verbal form
