Job Description:
Grand Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activities Aid to join our team.

As an Activities Aid, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by assisting in the planning and implementation of recreational activities and programs.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the development and implementation of recreational programs and activities for residents.
Engage residents in a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, games, music therapy, and outings.
Provide oneonone support to residents who may require additional assistance or encouragement to participate in activities.
Maintain a clean and organized activity area, ensuring the safety and comfort of residents.
Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate special events and holiday celebrations.
Document residents' participation and progress in activities.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members to ensure that residents' needs and preferences are met.
Stay informed about residents' interests, preferences, and abilities to tailor activities to their individual needs.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate and patient demeanor.
Creativity and enthusiasm for planning and leading activities.
Basic computer skills for documenting residents' participation and progress.

Pay:
$ $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 36.25 per week
