This is a seasonal position with full-time hours set to go from now through 8/31/2024. The position may be extended depending on need for support


Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm. _


Overview of Job Description:
Perform Proofreading services for various food packages and labels used in Houdini gift baskets. Assist with the development of product labels and nutritional inserts. Participate in identifying, defining, and implementing solutions to labeling issues, including those raised by other team members. Provide administrative support to the Product Development and the Design team.


Specific Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Provide proofreading services for all printed boxes.
  • Provide proofreading services for all content labels and nutritional inserts.
  • Provide proofreading services for any revised nutritional information provided by Purchasing Department
  • Create nutritional inserts and contents labels as necessary using Adobe Illustrator/Acrobat and Bartendertraining to be provided
  • Determine the accuracy of all packages and labels prior to printing
  • Assists with maintaining Company Kosher Library and Product files/folders with annual updates
  • Assist with maintaining Company Nutritional Library and Product files with updates

Administrative and Other Responsibilities:


  • Assist with proofreading services for export labels and documentation
  • Provide administrative support for other design team members
  • Provide administrative support for other inter department tasks as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


Ability to:

  • Ability to multitask
  • Work well in a fastpaced environment
  • Typing 40 WPM or More
  • Work voluntary and mandatory overtime

Knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe Illustrator/Acrobat
  • Knowledge of current FDA labeling rules is preferable
  • Analytical and communication skills, both oral and written

Education:


  • College Degree
  • AA or equivalent work experience

Experience:


  • Minimum of 1 year experience, preferably in a food manufacturing industry

Job Type:
Temporary


Pay:
$ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

Copy Editing: 1 year (preferred)

  • Proofreading: 1 year (required)
Adobe Illustrator: 1 year (required)
