Job Summary:
Join our culinary team at Jay Bob's Country Kitchen, where we pride ourselves on serving top-quality, homestyle country cuisine. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Line Cook to help prepare meals and ensure a memorable dining experience for our guests. As a vital member of our kitchen staff, you'll work in a fast-paced environment to prepare dishes that are both delicious and comforting, adhering to our established recipes and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and standards set by the kitchen manager and chef.
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
Chop vegetables, butcher meats, and prepare sauces.
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, with high quality and in a timely fashion.
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, etc.
Assist with inventory management and restocking necessary kitchen supplies.
Work collaboratively with front of house staff to ensure that customer service standards are upheld.

Requirements:

Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook.
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
Familiarity with industry's best practices.
Culinary school diploma preferred but not required.
Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers.
Capacity to work under pressure during busy hours.
