We have a new requirement for multiple contract IT Auditor's. The IT Auditors will be working with a large non-profit client located in Washington, DC.The IT audit projects will be of varying lengths and may be a combination of remote, hybrid or onsite work.
Projects will begin in the second quater of this year.Position Overview:
The IT Auditor is responsible for assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of information technology controls within an organization.
They will conduct audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, identify weaknesses in IT systems, and recommend improvements to enhance security and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct audits of IT systems, processes, and controls to assess compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
Evaluate the effectiveness of IT security measures, including access controls, data protection, and incident response procedures.
Identify and assess risks related to IT operations, such as cybersecurity threats, data breaches, and system vulnerabilities.
Analyze audit findings and prepare detailed reports documenting identified issues, their root causes, and recommended corrective actions.
Collaborate with IT teams and management to implement recommended improvements and ensure adherence to audit recommendations.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes to inform audit strategies and recommendations.
Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on IT governance, risk management, and compliance matters.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field.
Professional certification such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or equivalent.
Proven experience in IT auditing, risk assessment, or cybersecurity.
Strong understanding of IT systems, networks, databases, and software applications.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and assess risks and control deficiencies.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey audit findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preference will be given to those candiates who have IT audit experence in an NGO environment.
