    Jefferson County Auditor's Office is seeking an Accounting Technician - Accounts Payable.

    This position performs a variety of accounting activities including employee reimbursement payments, and payment for goods and services purchased by the County and other jurisdictions including Jr.

    Taxing Districts within the County.

    Monitors budget lines, contract compliance, tax collection and submission to Department of Revenue, IRS while working in partnership with other employees of the Accounting/Payroll Team in the Auditor's Office.


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Individual needs to be able to perform this job successfully in each essential duty satisfactorily.

    Education and/or Experience:


    Associates degree (AA) in accounting, minimum of six (6) years related governmental accounting experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience OR High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and eight (8) years related governmental accounting experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Hours & Compensation:
    UFCW, Grade 29, 40 hours/week with benefits. Full hourly range $29.17-$34.83/hr. DOE. Full medical benefits, including dental and vision. Retirement provided through Washington State DRS. 12 days of vacation to start, PTO, and bereavement leave. Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch.
