Description
LLC provides excellent healthcare to the incarcerated population in the continental United States. which was formed to bring efficient, responsible, and cost-effective care to the incarcerated population in Puerto Rico. For over 20 years, Physician Correctional, Inc. has been providing excellent health care through a group of experienced and committed professionals.This is a full-time on-site role as a Medical Director - Responsible Physician.
The Medical Director will be responsible for managing the healthcare program, ensuring that all patients receive appropriate medical attention, and that all treatments are compliant with the Department of Corrections' policies and procedures and the National Commission on Correctional Health Care.
The Medical Director will work closely with Advanced Nurse Practitioners, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to oversee all aspects of healthcare delivery.
Medical degree and board certification in a relevant fieldExperience in Medicine, with specialty knowledge in general medicine
Ability to work well with physicians and other healthcare professionals
Knowledge of Department of Corrections policies and procedures
Experience in correctional healthcare is preferred
