Science Teacher - Full Time

The Plainview-Old Bethpage CSD Science Department is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative individual to join our team.

Responsibilities:

- **Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the New York State Next Generation Science Learning Standards that cater to diverse learning styles

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and cultural awareness
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and to share best practices
• Utilize high leverage instructional strategies to support a lifelong appreciation for science
• Establish and maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues

Key Qualifications:

- **Motivated and passionate about teaching Biology and Chemistry

• Strong background in The New York State Science Learning Standards in Biology
• Collaborative mindset, eager to work in a teamoriented environment
• Culturally responsive approach to teaching including valuing and incorporating diverse backgrounds
• Strong grasp of using technology to enhance teaching and learning
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Certification:
Must have a current and active NYS Department of Education Certificate in

Biology and Chemistry 7-12


Salary:
As per contract
